Where does the data come from?: From 13+ Saudi listing sites and portals. We merge duplicates into one listing per property, filter out junk, and keep a link to every original ad. It's the same inventory you see on darak.app.
How fresh is it?: Sources are scraped twice a day. Every listing has an updated_at, so a sync can ask for only what changed since its last run with updated_since.
Which cities are covered?: 14 cities, from Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province to Taif, Abha and Hail. GET /cities lists them all with their neighborhoods.
How are prices reported?: Every price is normalized to SAR per year so listings compare directly, and the as-posted amount and frequency (monthly, daily…) come alongside it. These are asking prices — what owners and agents want, not what anyone paid.
Why not use REGA or the Ministry of Justice open data?: Different question, different data. The registered-deal feeds are closed transactions, published after the fact and heavily weighted to land plots — good for what a plot sold for, no help at all for what is available now, at what asking price, with how many bedrooms and which photos. Darak is the live market: what is on sale or for rent today, deduplicated across the sites it is advertised on. Plenty of teams use both.
How far back does the history go?: Listing and price history are kept from March 2026, which bounds price-history and the trend endpoints. Current inventory goes back as far as each listing has been live.
What's a unit?: Plans are metered in units, not requests: a page of 25 listings or a single market statistic costs 1 unit, valuation calls 2 to 5. Every response states its cost in the X-Request-Units header, and each endpoint's cost is in the API reference.
What happens when I reach my limit?: The free plan stops at 2,500 units a month. Paid plans keep working and bill extra usage per 1,000 units, up to a spend cap you set. Failed requests are never counted.
Can I show the data in my product?: Yes: display it to your users with a “Data by Darak” credit. You can't resell it as a dataset. The details are in the API terms.
